We have a busy year ahead. We plan to:
- Sign two new young authors
- Release a minimum of four books
- Attend this year’s London Book Fair
- Start another Young Writer’s Short Story competition
- Make more grants available from April 2018
SUBMISSIONS
We are open for fiction submissions. How did you do with NaNoWriMo last year? If you are U.K. based and aged 16-30, feel free to send us your work, we need:
- A single-page synopsis telling the entire story, including twists and ending
- First three chapters of your book
- Query letter with details about yourself, career aspirations, awards and details of any previous published work

NEW RELEASES
Hidden Variables by Caitlin Lynagh
Our resident Diary of a Young Writer blogger releases her second novel Hidden Variables on Apirl 15th 2018. The book is the second in The Soul Prophecies series following Anomaly, released in 2016.
The Leto family have unique gifts.

However, when Sophia Leto witnesses a murder in a vision from the past, involving a boy at her school, she unwittingly unravels a spiral of dark secrets and hidden emotions.
Determined to catch a killer and save a life, Sophia must use her gifts to identify each individual’s choices, circumstances and pathway through life.
The closer she looks, the more tangled and complicated their lives become and Sophia has to wonder, when does knowledge become too little or too much?
LONDON BOOK FAIR
We will be attending this year’s London Book Fair (April 10-12). If you would like to speak with us, email info@outletpublishinggroup.com to arrange a meeting. Our primary goal is to attain distribution so that we no longer have to rely on third-party distributors for our releases.
YOUNG WRITERS’ SHORT STORY COMPETITION 2018
We plan to hold another short story competition later this year. We will be announcing this in the autumn with a deadline for early 2019. The competition will be open to all writers in the UK aged 16-30. We enjoyed reading through hundreds of entries last year and it showed us just how much untapped talent there is out there.
GRANTS
Grants will be available for U.K. writers from April. Grants of up to £500 will be awarded to writers, aged between 16 and 30, who have career aspirations as a writer. These grants can be used towards the purchase of equipment (such as computers, printers and workspaces) as well as software packages and time for work-in-progress expenses if the writer has commissioned work. We will be posting a link on our website in April.
