NEWS UPDATE

The year is going so fast! We will be counting down to Christmas again now.

We have had to delay our course sponsorships until October as our good intentions have been hampered by the lockdown, with funds being side-lined for projects which were affected by the pandemic. We hope to announce more details about this by late August.

Our author, Caitlin Lynagh, sold a special-edition eBook NFT of Quantum Messenger last week for $100. NFTs are a new way of collecting and selling eBooks and will become increasingly popular over the next few years. The system gives authors and readers a potential revenue stream and will help independent authors and publishers establish better engagement with their reader in the way that Bandcamp works for recording artists.

We are still not taking any submissions at the moment. We need to develop a safe working arrangement and make sure society is open again for mentoring, workshops and promotional activities. We will probably open this up for 2022. We can then look towards opening up a permanent office again, instead of having the PO Box and staff working from home – as much as that has some advantages.

Our popular Diary of a Young Writer blog is still active, with Jen Hughes and Caitlin Lynagh keeping it as busy as possible – not always easy, I know.

So, bear with us. You can keep up to date with news on Twitter and Facebook too.
